ELEC 241 Lab
Before Lab
In Experiment 3.2 we will be measuring the transfer function of a
circuit.
This will be one of the more complex and tedious measurements
that we will make this semester.
Although there's nothing really difficult about it,
it's not something you want to be reading about for the first
time when you're in the lab trying to do it.
You would be well advised to look over the Background section
and the Interlude on Measuring Transfer Function
and make sure you understand what the procedure is
and how it works
before coming to lab.
Also, one of the Questions in Experiment 3.2
asks you to compute and plot
(using Matlab) the expected transfer function for the circuit
you build.
Although you could do this after doing the lab, it would be
better to do it beforehand so that if
your measured and expected functions don't agree
you can investigate the cause.
This computation is the one used as an example in the
Matlab tutorial
so you should be able to use that as a starting point.
